TOP GEAR – 5 MUST WATCH RACES FOR CAR ENTHUSIASTS

Top Gear is the most widely watched programme showcasing cars of nearly all sorts that I know of. Recently it has come to a halt because as we all know, Jeremy Clarkson was fired, but he’s been the best presenter that Top Gear has had in its entire history. Of course we shouldn’t forget Richard Hammond and James May who were great at entertaining us.

To remember the best of what Clarkson, Hammond and James brought to us in Top Gear, here are the 5 must watch races for all you car enthusiasts, and of course Top Gear lovers out there.

1 – Aston Martin DB9 Race to Monte Carlo

Jeremy takes the Aston Martin DB9, while what do Hammond and James take? Well, all i can tell you is that they are not allowed to use cars as their mode of transportation. Let’s see who wins the race to Monte Carlo.

2- Race to the Mexican Border

As the team races from Palm Springs to the Mexican Border, Jeremy takes a Yellow Lexus LFA, while James drives a Blue Aston Martin Vanquish and Hammond opts for a Black Dodge Viper. Let’s see who comes last.

3- Cross London Race! Stig Vs Clarkson Vs Hammond Vs May

Things get exciting as Hammond takes a bike, James takes the road and Jeremy takes a ride down the river in the race across London. The only person they are racing against is STIG! Let’s see who wins this one!

4 – A Race To Run Out OF Fuel In Ukraine

With only 23 litres of fuel each in Jeremy, James and Hammond’s cars, this time their race is of a different nature. They have to see whose car runs out of fuel first, before they reach a town near the border with Balarus. That town is the infamous, Chernobyl!!!

5 – Supercar Runway Race

The boys are in Euro crisis hit Spain to test three new “budget supercars” Clarkson selects a bright yellow ₤195,000 McLaren MP4-12C Spider, Hammond takes a red ₤198,000 Ferrari 458 Spider, and May chooses a gray ₤121,000 Audi R8 V10 Spyder. Searching for a place to test the top speeds of their cars, they chance across the disused Ciudad Real Central Airport. Clarkson’s MP4 reaches 198 mph (319 km/h), besting the 458’s 193 mph (311 km/h) and the R8’s 186 mph (299 km/h). But the real test of any supercar, as James May devises, is; who can get the finish line first and secure the car’s roof from convertible to hard top.

And with all that done, Let’s Head Back To The Studios!
