The Mandalorian star Pedro Pascal has made his way into the upcoming sequel of Gladiator. He is now officially part of the cast. His role has not been disclosed as yet.

Pedro has joined the cast along with Denzel Washington, Paul Mescal, Barry Keoghan and Joseph Quinn. The actors who will reprise their role from the original are Connie Nielsen and Djimon Hounsou.

The sequel will revolve around Lucius, twenty years after the events of Gladiator which starred Russell Crowe and Joaquin Phoenix. It will be based in a new time and era of the Roman Empire.

Russell has shown interest in reprising his role but has not yet been contacted, while Joaquin will not be reprising his role at all. The movie will once again be directed by Ridley Scott with a script written by David Scarpa.

There are most cast members to join and the movie is planned to be released on 24 November, 2024.
