Actor Russell Crowe has revealed that he feels quit jealous about the upcoming sequel of Gladiator. Russell Crowe as yet is still not known to have any part in the upcoming Gladiator sequel which will release in 2024.
While giving an interview to Collider, Russell said that he still thinks that he will be contacted for the movie, but it hasn’t happened yet. Talking about the sequel he said that the movie will be an extension of the narrative, and will take place many years after the passing of Maximus. Young Lucius will be the emperor and the plot will revolve around his era of rule.
Russell Crowe played the role of a tragic Roman General Maximus Decimus Meridius who becomes a Gladiator after Emperor Comodus forces him into slavery by taking away his property and killing his wife and son.
Denzel Washington, Barry Keoghan and Paul Mescal are officially part of the cast of Gladiator 2. The movie is in pre-production and is expected to release on 22 November, 2024.
