American rapper and actor Donald Glover will be seen in an upcoming untitled Spider-Man movie. Glover will play the role of Hypno-Hustler, a villain who is not considered to be one of the top villains but the worst ones in the supervillains list.
The musical aspect of the character and having less canon baggage in the Marvel universe sparked interest in Glover to the supervillain character. Due to this he feels that he can freely interpret the supervillain and make it go forward into the Marvel universe. According to Hollywood Reporter, the upcoming Spider-Man movie could be anything from a disco period piece to a re-imagined modern hip-hop version or even a Cyberpunk future play.
In the past, Donald Glover has voiced Miles Morales in the Disney XD series titled Ultimate Spider-Man in 2015 and also had a brief appearance in a deleted scene in Tom Holland’s Spider-Man: Homecoming, which pointed him to playing Miles Morales’s Uncle.
Myles Murphy, son of actor Eddie Murphy will be writing the yet untitled project. A director and the rest of the cast is yet to be announced including the release date.
