Tyrant Season 3: Afsaneh Dehrouyeh Plays Fearless Student Mahdiya Kattan. British actress Afsaneh Dehrouyeh has not long been out of drama school and is already making her mark on the entertainment world. This beautiful actress is starring as the fearless and reckless student Mahdiya Kattan, in Howard Gordon’s Middle Eastern drama Tyrant.
The storyline of this TV drama develops around a man who is the dictator’s youngest son. Along with the members of his American family he returns to the Middle-East, to his home country, torn apart by a horrible war. The intricate plot and a stellar cast makes Tyrant a great watch and a real fan favourite.
British-Iranian actress Afsaneh Dehrouyeh began her acting career at the tender age of 11 at the Playhouse Theatre in Cheltenham. After gaining a BA Hons in Drama and Theatre Arts at the well-respected Goldsmiths University in London, she went on to train at the International School of Screen Acting in London. Afsaneh went on to star in Fressia, Britain’s first film about Islamophobia, as Muslim activist Khadija. Now she stars as the strong willed university student Mahdiya Kattan, in the much loved series Tyrant.
