LIFE is the latest space adventure flick directed by Daniel Espinosa. The cast includes well known names such as Jake Gyllenhaal and Ryan Reynolds; with Rabecca Ferguson, Olga Dihovichnaya, Hiroyuki Sanada, Aariyon Bakare and Alexandre Nguyun starring along with them. It is a film inspired by the cult space adventure classic Aliens (1979), which was directed by Ridley Scott. This would be Ryan Reynolds’s first space movie as well as a collaboration with Jake Gyllenhaal.LIFE Trailer Review An Alien Space Adventure.
The trailer holds no surprises in it, because we have already seen these kinds of alien films before, in which a space ship is attacked by an extraterrestrial being, which has so much intelligence and power that it overtakes the human intellect and technology in every way possible. A group of astronauts is on its way to Mars (as always it is Mars where we can find life! I mean really?!!!), to do research to find some form of life forms. They manage to get hold of which seems to be a random satellite floating in space above Mars, and succeed in getting a sample from it. One of the space scientists explores the sample, which is at first innocent and beautiful looking, but little do they know that it will overtake them, and their space ship, even though they try to contain it and in the process loose one of their group members. The rest of the movie would of course show how the group members survive the alien invasion on their little space ship.
As it is mentioned above that this movie is an inspiration from Ridley Scott’s Alien (1979), the story line might be similar to it. Like in Aliens, the extraterrestrial life form sneaks into the space ship, and wrecks havoc, we can expect the same happening in this movie too. It all depends how the film has been directed, and how the script has been written. I hope it is different from the other alien movies in the past, but I’m not expecting that to happen. The movie will have its release on 12th May, 2017 in the United Kingdom.
