The trailer shows a hell of a lot of very bad relations between all the main characters, but in a way shows them to be connected with each other. It seems to be a very political film, but all mixed up with gang wars and bosses wanting to take over power. Performance wise, Jung Woo Sung and Hwang Jung Min are executing their roles very intensely, just as they did in their movies ‘Cold Eyes‘ and ‘New World‘. This is the first time they are acting together in the same movie though. Kwak Do Won gives the same ‘Nameless Gangster‘ styled performance, but only this time as the trailer shows, it slowly picks up its intensity to its extreme. But as the poster above shows all the characters in the shadow and him under the spotlight, it must be an indication that he’s got a very important part this time.
The actions sequences are filled with taekwando style fighting between gang members, car chases and bloody battles between the bosses themselves. It seems that all the actors had to go through a very strict fitness regime in order to execute the action fighting sequences. The car chases would have been done by trained stunt performers including the very gory fighting scenes.
This movie is a must watch for all the director Kim Sung Soo fans, and of course for those who love action movies starring Jung Woo Sung and Hwang Jung Min.
