‘A GIRL AT MY DOOR’ 2014. FILM REVIEW. 58th BFI LONDON FILM FESTIVAL 2014.
Recently A Girl At My Door was shown in the 58th BFI London Film Festival 2014. This film is the directorial debut of South Korean Director July Jung. The film revolves around two characters played by Bae Doona and Kim Sae-ron. Shot in the country side, the film shows picturesque views of South Korea with very good cinematography done by Hyun Seok Kim.
The young actress Kim Sae-ron gave her best performance in A Girl At My Door. Her character which looked very hard to play was performed very artistically. It was as if she had immersed herself into that role. Bae Doona plays a nuanced role very professionally. Her style of dialogue delivery in hushed tones shows how much she had gone deep into playing this role. She has the upper command while the rest of the characters follow suite.
