Among a vast content related to LGBTQ+ cinema and powerful non – fiction stories from around the world, the film “3 Siblings” has stepped out in the festival circuit. Ludmylla, Victor and Ângelo are three siblings with different gender identities. Born and raised in one of São Paulo’s favelas, they bring us into their world during the city’s LGBTQ+ Pride Month. Every year, São Paulo hosts one of the world’s largest Pride Parades to celebrate Brazil’s LGBTQ+ community. But homophobia and transphobia are still rampant in South America’s largest nation. These three siblings show us how they face these societal challenges everyday, and how it impacts their relationships with each other.
“3 Siblings” is an original Dona Ana Films & Multimedia production directed by Sheena Rossiter and produced by Sandro Silva. Sheena Rossiter is the co-founder of Dona Ana Films & Multimedia and will attend Raindance Film Festival from 24th – 30th September 2018 and will be on the “Bigger than Binary: Queer Art and Activism” panel presented by Gay Times as part of the Raindance Industry Events.
