Korean Cultural Centre has released a video showing the 10th London Korean Film Festival Highlights which took place in November 2015. The festival started with the Opening Gala screening of the UK Premiere of Director J K Youn’s ‘Ode To My Father‘ starring Hwang Jung-min and Kim Yunjin. The end of the festival showed the UK Premiere of Director Zhan Lu’s ‘Love And…‘ starring Moon So-ri, Ahn Sung-ki and Park Hae-il in the Closing Gala.

The film festival had invited Director Chung Chang Wha who was a special guest. Three of his notable films A Bonanza (1961), Sunset On The Sarbin River (1965) and A Swordsman in the Twilight (1967) were screened in the Classics Revisited section of the festival. He also gave an interesting interview on his career in film making for Shaw Brothers in Hong Kong and his experience in South Korea during the dictatorship. Read the full interview HERE.
The festival also introduced two up and coming film directors Jang Kun-jae and Lee Kwang-kuk. Their films were screened in the Emerging Directors section. Six critically acclaimed Busan International Film Festival selections were also screened, which got a lot of praise from the UK audience.
